The Hotel is seriously luxe, with 53 rooms and suites designed by Todd Oldham. First up- a well-deserved drenching in the rain-head shower. We wrap ourselves in the fabulous, tie-dyed robes and recline on luxurious beds to admire the suite's hand-airbrushed tiles. Taking full advantage of The Hotel's free wireless broadband, we log on to email jealous friends all the details.
As day turns to night, that special Miami light draws us skywards to the Spire Bar & Lounge. An enormous neon Tiffany sign bathes us in an almost ethereal glow as we sup cocktails and take in the view, whetting our appetites for dinner at The Hotel's Wish restaurant.
With AAA Four Diamond and Mobil Four Star awards, our expectations of Wish are justifiably high- and we're not disappointed. We dine on thoroughly modern American cuisine amongst flora in the garden setting, people-spotting and soaking up the electric, eclectic atmosphere.
A hot, sparkling morning dawns- and a spot of exercise is in order. We swim in emerald waters amongst the body-beautiful on The Hotel's rooftop pool deck, sluicing off at the mosaic shower wall and retiring to a shady cabana to contemplate just how to spend yet another perfect Miami day.
