It's October at Foodtripper and we have extra helpings of food news, web TV and prizes from all over the world.
HOTEL NEWS
We follow recent landees Obama and Tom Cruise to the fabulous new
Hotel Verta, billed as London's Gateway, at the London Heliport. Arriving by helicopter is de rigeur and so is dinner at Patrisey inside. Locally sourced ingredients - yes we got that already - but honey from Battersea? Who knew. Meanwhile over at The Sheraton, Heathrow there are whispers of a jetlag defying menu devised with sleep in mind by chef Enzo Pepe, including oriental green fingers, asparagus spring rolls and a smokey garden salad that all sounds as light as the goose feather and down pillows that follow.
RESTAURANT RELAUNCH
News in this time from Glasgow where
The Corinthian, the old city stalwart, has undergone a makeover. Craig Brown sits down to dinner in a clamshell canopy 'that allowed me to practice my James Bond villain impressions'.
