 Nobu Matsuhisa Nobu Matsuhisa and other leading London restaurants raise funds for for Japan.
Nobu & Matsuhisa Restaurants Worldwide have announced special charity dinners where all proceeds from the evenings will be donated to the organisations which have the most impact in helping the people of Japan. Nobu Berkeley Street and Nobu London Charity Dinners Nobu Matsuhisa himself will host the Tomodachi (Friends) Charity Dinners in London on Wednesday 4th May at Nobu London, and Thursday 5th May at Nobu Berkeley ST. The restaurants will be closed to the public for the events, which will each begin with a welcome reception at 7pm followed by a sit down dinner at 8pm. Tickets are priced at £250 per person and an exclusive £1000 ticket will grant the opportunity to dine with Nobu-san himself. Available for purchase at these events will be an exclusive limited edition of the Nobu West Cookery Book with a cover designed by Damien Hirst specifically for the disaster appeal. Each book will be signed by Damien and Nobu-san themselves and will be available for £250. All proceeds from the entire evening and book sales will be donated to the organisations which have the most impact in helping the people of Japan. Asia de Cuba & Suka During the month of April, China Grill Management (CGM) restaurants worldwide have announced that they will feature a limited edition dessert whereby 50% of its sales will be donated to the American Red Cross in support of those affected by the disaster in Japan.
Sumosan Sumosan has announced that they will donate a proportion of sales from all Sake sold within the restaurant to the Red Cross to aid in the Japanese disaster appeal. The fund raising programme will run for three months from the 1 April 2011 where the restaurant will donate £2 for each 720ml btl, £1.50 for each 500ml btl, and £1 for each 300ml btl sold.
