A new Green's Restaurant & Oyster Bar will open on London's Cornhill early September. Founder Simon Parker Bowles has teamed up with a duo of Lords to expand the iconic Green's brand- Lord Daresbury and Lord Vestey, respectively the former Chairman of the De Vere group and Chairman of the Vestey group. The new Green's will be set in a 17th century building, formerly Lloyds Bank's headquarters- home to the famous listed mosaic which pays homage to the famous 'black horse' logo.
It's an impressive-sounding venture. City workers after an express service should head to the Banking Hall, with its all-day, 'grazing' menu style, whilst those after a more leisurely, formal dining experience can try out the Mezzanine restaurant, open for both lunch and dinner. Further draws come in the form of a designated whisky room and a Champagne anteroom, whilst two private rooms are available for hire. Subsequent openings are also in the pipeline.
