Following the hugely successful launch of his Michelin starred London restaurant Pollen Street Social, Chef Jason Atherton is set to open a new restaurant in Singapore in December.
L’esquina, located in a former launderette in the Chinatown district of Singapore, will open on the 9th December and be run by Chef Andrew Walsh who will interpret Jason’s culinary ideas into those of his own. Additionally, Phil Carmichael, Jason’s development chef, will also be based at L’esquina for the first month of opening. L’esquina will showcase a menu inspired by the canapés at the legendary El Bulli. It will also feature a raw seafood bar and a baby Josper grill serving confit lamb chops.
The 17 seat restaurant will offer an intimate dining experience with a gastro tapas menu. A 20 seat outdoor dining area will further complement L’esquina’s setting in the evening.
Jason Atherton commented: “L’esquina will mirror the innovation of Pollen Street Social and its modern style of cooking. I’m delighted to be opening in Singapore and bringing new ideas to anyone who enjoys a great meal”.
