Le Meurice, Paris, one of Dorchester Collection, is the chosen location for many scenes in Woody Allen’s new film ‘Midnight in Paris’. This new romantic comedy will open the 64th Festival de Cannes on 11 May 2011, and will be released in the UK later this summer.
‘Midnight in Paris’ includes key scenes shot at Le Meurice, most notably in the gastronomic restaurant at Le Meurice; the hotel’s impressive façade and entrance; and La Belle Etoile signature suite, located on the 7th floor of Le Meurice and offering 360° panoramic vistas of Paris (including the Eiffel Tower), where a wine tasting episode takes
place.
The story follows a family travelling to Paris for business, which leads to Gil (played by Owen Wilson) discovering the city by night. The glittering cast also includes Marion Cottilard, Rachel McAdams and Carla Bruni.
