Harrods: Festival of British Foods 18 Sept - 3 Oct 2010

Britain's favourite Food Hall is partnering with chef Valentine Warner on a campaign to unearth the best artisan foods from across the country. Valentine’s favourite food producers and his brand new seasonal British recipes will launch exclusively at the store’s Food Halls and restaurants.
A champion of small, innovative, British food producers and seasonal eating, Valentine worked closely with Harrods expert buying team to hunt down the finest British produce to go on sale at Harrods. Shoppers at the Knightsbridge store can expect to find a wealth of seasonal and undiscovered British delicacies, ranging from rare-breed lamb and welfare-friendly veal to Valentine’s favourite cheese and ciders.
Valentine Warner says: “Teaming up with Harrods buyers to pick out some of my favourite producers and bring them to the Food Halls is a great privilege and I hope shoppers will descend on these treats like kingfishers on minnows. Each supplier has produced something truly delicious with great love and attention, and people duly need to know about them.”
Valentine ’s Culinary Tour of the UK at the Resta urants Food enthusiasts can also indulge in a series of tasty Valentine Specials during the fortnight. On the menu at eight of Harrods prestigious restaurants, the special recipes have been exclusively created by Valentine to celebrate the best seasonal ingredients on offer in the UK. Look out for melt-in-the-mouth crab croquettes – made with freshly caught Devonshire crab – at Harrods Seagrill, and roast shoulder of lamb – featuring delicious pure-bred Manx Loaghtan lamb from the Isle of Man – at Harrods iconic British restaurant, The Georgian.
