Lovers of sake with cash to burn will be pleased to learn that there's a new batch of Isake 19 available at Harrods and Selfridges- at £475 a bottle. The Naniwa Sake Brewery claim that the rice grains are milled much finer for this premium tipple than for its rivals- to just 19% of the original grain size, compared with 50% in a typical example. The processing of the Yamadanishiki rice makes for a more refined flavour and aroma, which the Japanese brewery likens to Grand Cru Chablis.
