Switzerland: Indian extravaganza on the shores of Lake Geneva

For the sixth year running, the Hotel d’Angletterre will be hosting its summer sub-continental spectacular, courtesy of exclusive Mayfair restaurant, The Tamarind.

Chefs will be flown in to prepare Alfred Prasad's finest selection of modern Indian delicacies for a three-week special between 27 July and 15 August 2009. The innovative cuisine at Tamarind continues to be admired. As it enters its 15th year the award winning restaurant leads the way in changing the perception of Indian food.

Grilled scallops flavoured with star anise, fennel and peppercorns, served with red pepper chutney. Salmon with a tangy sauce of tomatoes and tamarind, finished with mustard seeds and coconut milk. Tandoor grilled pineapple with honey chaat masala and rose ice cream. These are just a few of the enticing dishes diners can indulge in from the comfort of the renowned Windows Restaurant, overlooking the spectacular views across Lake Geneva to Mont Blanc.

Sitting majestically on the shores of Lake Geneva, with stunning views of Jet d'Eau, Mont Blanc and surrounding mountains, Hotel d’Angletterre boasts old-world charm with new-world service. Home to the Leopard Lounge, Geneva’s legendary Bar, as well as the world-class restaurant, it is easy to see why Hotel d’Angletterre has earned its place as one of the Leading Small Hotels of the World.

The Indian Adventure doesn’t stop there. The hotel is offering a Tamarind package, including;

One night's accommodation for two in an elegant room (lake-view rooms available at an additional charge).

Delicious buffet breakfast, to be enjoyed in the privacy of your room or in Windows Restaurant.

Four-course Indian dinner for two in Windows created by the highly acclaimed Chef Alfred Prasad and his team from The Tamarind in London.
