Don't forget to tune in to Travel Channel, on Sky 251 at 8pm, for the latest 60-minute episode in the Food Tripper TV series all about Cyprus.

Back home, autumn heralds the arrival of a brand new online store www.farmison.com offering a bounty of seasonal ingredients from over 75 of Britain's best independent suppliers.

The website, touted by celebrity and chef Brian Turner, as 'foodie's heaven', offers rare breed meat from 31 butchery farms, fruit and vegetables from 30 growers and 50 delicious farmhouse cheeses - more than 60% of which are unavailable anywhere else online. Seasoned British chef Mark Hix says, 'It's fantastic that farmison.com foodies can now get hold of the best British produce to master in their own kitchens'.

I tried the produce for myself one evening in late September, cooked by Pierrre Koffmann's deft hand, and even though it's unlikely I'll ever turn out quite the same stunning results, I'm still looking forward to experimenting with my first weekly box.

Happy shopping.
