Helen Hokin's October Picks

The days are drawing in but don’t hibernate - migrate! We follow the snowbirds to South Florida for food festivals, art and five top dining spots.

Travelling in the opposite direction we venture east with Japan Journeys for a gourmet tour of Tokyo and Osaka.

This month, Spain celebrates it status as the world’s leading producer of saffron, the costliest spice known to man, and journalist Rob Train explores in his fascinating feature how it may hold the key to mellowing the opiate trade in Afghanistan.

A spot of urban foraging had Foodtripper’s Editor-at-Large, Andrew Copestake, stumbling across the Landau’s tasting menu, tucked away at the top of Regent Street. Writing from Delhi, Manju Malhi claims to have found the best vegetarian restaurant in the world.

Eating Out has never been as important as in October. Foodtripper asks you to make an extra dinner reservation to help Action Against Hunger’s ‘Fight Hunger Eat Out’ campaign to support malnourished children.
