On board, you can look forward to a range of fantastic culinary activities including cooking lessons in the Holland America Line Culinary Arts Centre, a private tour of the ship’s kitchens, and meals in the ship’s bespoke restaurants, Pinnacle Grill and Tamarind.
The ships sets sail from Barcelona on 6th October and her first port of call is Tunisia’s La Goulette (Tunis), where Arabic and African cultures fuse to produce a unique cuisine, followed by a visit to beautiful Palermo in Sicily the next day. The cruise continues to Civitavecchia (Rome), to visit the Etruscan burial site of Tarquinia and even Rome’s wine-growing hinterland.
The next port of call is Livorno (Florence), where the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with its rich produce and wine, can be discovered. The final full day of the trip takes in Toulon, with the opportunity to visit the 11th century Provençal hilltop village of Le Castellet, where the best of local wines can be sampled.
