Pembrokeshire Fish Week Festival

 Listed as one of the UK’s best food festivals by The Independent and Conde Nast Traveller and known as one of the tastiest festivals in Europe. This whopper of a festival has some 200 events celebrating Pembrokeshire’s fantastic fish and shellfish, wonderful coastline, and maritime heritage.
For foodies, there’s a great range of eating out events featuring fresh local seafood and a mouthwatering variety of cookery demonstrations and workshops.
Tickets have been selling fast for the popular annual celebrity chef seafood masterclass at the Torch Theatre – this year featuring Stephen Terry, Tim Maddams, Ravinder Bhogal and Angela Gray.
Entitled ‘Fillies, Fellas & Fish’, the event takes place on June 28th Fresh from their fishing forays in the county‘s sea and rivers, the quartet will launch into a fun battle of the sexes, regaling each other and the audience with fishy tales while they cook up a storm on stage
Fish Week also has a great range of cookery workshops, including a Seafood Safari with Duncan and Sue Lucas, Indian sea food with Anand George, Thai fish cookery with Guy Morris and Sushi with Kimie Atkins.
Take the opportunity to go on a culinary journey ‘From Birmingham to Bombay- Via Saundersfoot!’ At a demonstration lunch with Celebrity Chef Alan Coxon, at the St Brides Spa Hotel.
Outdoor-lovers can choose from seashore foraging picnics, guided walks, fishing, boat and kayak trips around the Pembrokeshire Coastline, or try Coasteering or Surfing. Plus river walks and beach exploration, why not combine them with a barbecue on a nearby beach?
If you’ve always fancied learning to fish, there’s a variety of fishing events from coarse, fly or sea fishing for all levels, ages and abilities, with professional coaches on hand.
Experienced anglers have an excellent line-up of fishing events, including competitions – the Stena Line Sea Angling Open Competition at Fishguard Harbour, at Coarse Fishing Championships at Holgan Farm premier fisheries and a Sea Bass Lure competition with Fish4Bass.
And Fish Week is fab for families too! Children can enjoy wildplay on the beach, treasure trails, reservoir cycle rides, family fun days, and cookery workshops.  
Fish Week casts off on Saturday June 22nd with a big opening day for families and foodies at Milford Haven Fish Docks packed with cookery demonstrations, activities, entertainment, stalls and workshops. Come along and enjoy the fun!
