Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is delighted to announce a unique gastronomic event at Michelin starred Foliage this October.
For one week only, two Michelin starred chef Norbert Niederkofler will be leaving the mountain peaks of the Dolomites to create his refined local and international delicacies at Michelin starred Foliage restaurant.
Head Chef at St Hubertus restaurant, at the Relais & Chateaux family-owned Rosa Alpina, Chef Niederkofler’s cooking fuses inherently Italian recipes with flavours from his South Tyrolean heritage and strong hints of neighbouring Austria’s cuisine.
For one week from 2 October 2009, Chef Niederkofler’s menu for Foliage will include the following highlights: ‘Vitello Tonnato – Veal with mousse of cauliflower and mustard and red tuna’ ‘Fillet of venison with pine needles potatoes, braised shallots and royal jelly sauce’ Following the success of Norbert’s presence at Foliage last year, The Park restaurant will also introduce some specialties, including staple Italian dishes such as ‘Burrata from Puglia with endives, oven tomatoes and anchovies,’ and family favourites such as pizzas made with ingredients including tomatoes, mozzarella, hot salami, courgettes and Gorgonzola cheese.
Guests will also be able to sample authentic Alto Adige flavours in Mandarin Bar, where the Antipasti selection will include ‘Speck from Alto Adige with sweet and sour spring onions, served on fennel-bread bruschetta.’
The á la carte lunch menu in Foliage starts from £29 and the á la carte dinner menu is £60. In addition to this there will be a tasting menu, at £55 for lunch and £75 for dinner.
